We’re looking for experienced Commercial HVAC Technicians as well as an HVAC Supervisor to join a small, established Auckland business.

HVAC Technicians

This is a hands-on commercial HVAC role for an experienced Technician who enjoys fault finding, servicing and keeping customers’ systems running properly.


You’ll be working across a range of commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment, carrying out service, maintenance, repairs and fault finding.


You’ll be responsible for:

  • Servicing and maintaining commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs
  • Preventative maintenance
  • Attending breakdowns and reactive work
  • Completing installations and remedial work when required
  • Liaising directly with customers and site contacts
  • Completing service reports and job documentation
  • Working safely and maintaining a high standard of workmanship


HVAC Supervisor

For the Supervisor, this is more than simply being the most senior Technician on site.

You’ll take responsibility for a small team and become involved in the people, customer and operational side of the business while still remaining hands-on when required.

Your day could include:

  • Leading and supporting a small team of HVAC Technicians
  • Planning and allocating daily and weekly workloads
  • Dealing directly with customers and Facility Managers
  • Preparing quotes for repairs, remedial works and replacements
  • Handling customer queries and resolving issues
  • Monitoring job progress, quality and productivity
  • Carrying out site audits and reviewing completed work
  • Mentoring Technicians and providing technical support
  • Coordinating subcontractors and other trades
  • Assisting with complex HVAC fault finding
  • Ensuring health & safety and site requirements are being met
  • Maintaining strong customer relationships


About You

For both positions, you’ll be a qualified Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technician with solid commercial HVAC experience.

For the Technician role, we’re looking for someone technically strong, reliable and comfortable dealing directly with customers.

For the Supervisor role, you may already be supervising a team, or you could be a strong Senior Technician or Team Leader ready to move into a broader position.


You’ll ideally have:

  • NZ trade qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
  • Strong commercial HVAC experience
  • Good technical and fault-finding ability
  • Confidence dealing with customers and contractors
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • A practical, common-sense approach
  • EST licence


For the Supervisor position, previous team leadership, mentoring, quoting or scheduling experience would be an advantage.
