Join a growing software consulting business that helps organisations improve their processes through modern business systems and technology solutions. Working alongside experienced consultants, you’ll support a wide range of clients as they optimise financial workflows, enhance reporting capability, and maximise the value of their business systems.


The Opportunity


This role is ideal for an Accountant who enjoys understanding how finance systems work and wants to move beyond traditional accounting. You’ll work closely with clients, helping them navigate financial processes, understand accounting impacts, and support system deployment and optimisation projects.


You’ll play an important role in ensuring finance functions are aligned with business processes, while building your expertise in ERP solutions and client consulting.


About You


We’re looking for someone with a solid accounting background and a strong understanding of how financial information flows across an organisation.


Your experience will include:


  • Preparing month-end accounts, including journals, reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments
  • Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet accounts
  • Working with general ledger transactions and understanding their impact on financial results
  • Bank reconciliations, financial controls, and accounting best practices
  • Preparing management or financial reports and understanding the relationship between operational activity, the Profit & Loss, and Balance Sheet
  • Exposure to inventory, stock movements, or product costing would be beneficial


What You’ll Bring


  • Relevant New Zealand accounting qualification
  • Proven experience working within a finance or accounting function
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Interest in business systems, process improvement, and technology
  • ERP system exposure is advantageous but not essential
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and willingness to learn
