On road, off the beaten track or around the farm, New Zealand's first choice for 4x4 Suspension, Bull Bars and 4WD Accessories is Ironman 4x4.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Customer Service Representative / Parts Advisor to join our team in Hornby, Christchurch.

We're looking for someone who is organised, takes pride in their work and can confidently manage their day-to-day responsibilities. You'll need excellent communication and administration skills, a proactive attitude and the ability to deliver outstanding customer service.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll be dealing with customers, coordinating orders, assisting with workshop bookings and helping keep our retail showroom running smoothly.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting retail customers with enquiries, product advice and recommendations
  • Answering phone calls, responding to emails and processing wholesale orders
  • Preparing quotes and providing accurate product information
  • Managing customer enquiries and maintaining accurate records
  • Coordinating workshop bookings and ensuring parts are allocated correctly
  • Keeping the showroom clean, tidy, well-presented and fully stocked
  • Monitoring stock levels and advising when products need reordering
  • Ensuring products are correctly labelled and priced
  • Assisting other departments as required

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a customer service, retail sales or parts-related role
  • Strong administration, organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work independently, self-manage and prioritise your workload
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • A tidy, professional presentation and pride in maintaining an organised workspace
  • Good computer skills and confidence managing emails, orders and customer records
  • A proactive, reliable attitude and willingness to take ownership of your responsibilities
  • A full NZ driver's licence
  • A good level of physical fitness, as some heavy lifting is required

Previous automotive industry experience and general mechanical knowledge would be highly regarded, particularly an understanding of 4WD vehicles, accessories and parts. However, we're also interested in hearing from experienced customer service professionals who are organised, technically minded and keen to learn.

Full product training and support will be provided.

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday mornings. A competitive salary is on offer, aligned with your skills and experience.
