Remarkable People is on the lookout for a skilled and motivated Truck Mechanic / Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join a busy waste management operation in the Thames/Kopu area!


If you're a hands-on problem solver who enjoys diagnosing faults, tackling mechanical challenges and keeping a fleet of heavy vehicles on the road, we want to hear from you!


This is a fantastic opportunity to put your mechanical skills to good use while working with a supportive team in an essential industry.


What We're Looking For Proven experience as a Truck Mechanic, Heavy Diesel Mechanic or similar.


  • A relevant mechanical trade qualification is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics and heavy vehicle systems.
  • Confidence diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs independently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • A strong understanding of workplace health and safety.
  • A reliable, proactive attitude and willingness to get stuck in.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
