Good on the tools? Fancy a change of scenery without giving up your time at home?

Max People are looking for experienced Residential Carpenters to join a great crew on a multi-unit residential development in Queenstown.

The project kicks off in December, with a big push to get things moving before Christmas, and work scheduled right through until July 2027.

We're after capable carpenters who can hit the ground running, work well with the crew and take pride in turning out quality work. No hand-holding required — just good skills, a solid work ethic and a willingness to get stuck in.


What You'll Be Doing

Working on a multi-unit residential construction project

Framing, fixing and general residential carpentry

Reading plans and working to specifications

Working alongside other trades to keep the build progressing

Maintaining high standards of workmanship and site safety

Pitching in where needed to keep the project moving


What We're Looking For

Proven experience in residential carpentry

Confidence working independently and as part of a team

Reliable, hardworking and ready to hit the ground running

Pride in your workmanship and attention to detail

Ability to commit to the project through to July

Valid Site Safe or Construct Safe – we can assist with this

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test


What's In It For You?

Up to $35 per hour, depending on experience

Long-term project from December through to July 2027

Travel from Christchurch to Queenstown on your first day

Flights home every 10 days, followed by 4 days off

A good run of work without being away from home for weeks on end


The Roster

You'll travel from Christchurch to Queenstown to start the project, then work a 10-day rotation followed by 4 days off, with flights home provided every 10 days.

It's a great opportunity to enjoy a change of scenery, earn good money and still have regular time back home.
