We’re looking for a customer-focused Golf Professional Assistant with a strong knowledge of golf to support the day-to-day operations of Frankton Golf Centre. This is a part-time role working 30 hours per week.


What you’ll be doing / He aha te mahi


You’ll support the Golf Team Leader with the day-to-day operation of Frankton Golf Centre, helping deliver high standards of customer service and increase usage of the golf course, driving range, coaching services and golf shop.


The role will involve:


  • Provide consistently high standards of service while supporting the effective, efficient and safe day-to-day operation of the centre.
  • Meet and greet members and clients, manage the till, bookings, phone messages and client information.
  • Support golf shop and range operations, including preparing and pricing equipment and maintaining a tidy facility.
  • Maximise opportunities to grow memberships and promote golfing equipment, coaching services and facility use.
  • Assist with golf programmes, membership services, marketing initiatives, tournaments and competitions.


What you’ll bring to the role / Ko wai to Pukeka


You’ll bring a strong customer service focus, sound knowledge of golf and a friendly, approachable manner. You’ll be self-motivated, use initiative and work well as part of a team.


To best succeed in this role, you’ll have:


  • NCEA Level 2.
  • Two years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of golf, with experience in golf retail an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service focus.
  • Self-motivation, initiative, integrity and a strong team approach.
