Job Description

We're looking for a dynamic, engaging, and bilingual individual to become the welcoming face of our vibrant Te Anau & Manapouri Visitor Centres. As a key member of our team, you'll be the gateway to the heart of Fiordland, delivering exceptional customer service and inspiring guests from around the world to experience our iconic adventures.


In this role, you'll combine your passion for tourism and sales expertise to create unforgettable experiences for our guests. From recommending must-see attractions to helping visitors plan their perfect adventure, you'll play an important part in showcasing the very best of RealNZ.


You'll also work closely with our operations team to ensure seamless check-ins for day and overnight trips departing from Manapouri, helping deliver a smooth and memorable customer journey from start to finish.


A core part of this role is supporting both our English and Mandarin-speaking guests, so fluency in both Mandarin and English is essential.


What You'll Be Doing


  • Identifying and creating sales opportunities, maximising every interaction.
  • Inspiring guests to book unforgettable RealNZ experiences.
  • Providing exceptional service in both Mandarin and English.
  • Managing passenger manifests and booking information accurately.
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of our Visitor Centres.
  • Sharing your knowledge and passion for Fiordland and the wider Southern region.

We're Looking for Someone Who:


  • Is fluent in both Mandarin and English , with the ability to confidently communicate with guests in both languages.
  • Has previous tourism, hospitality, or sales experience.
  • Has a proven track record in a high-performance sales environment.
  • Is a confident, engaging, and professional communicator.
  • Brings a positive, can-do attitude and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Has knowledge of the Fiordland, Rakiura, and Queenstown regions, or a willingness to learn.
  • Has experience using reservation or booking systems.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can comfortably manage multiple tasks while maintaining excellent customer service.
