Job Description

Instant Finance is an established New Zealand financial services business with 25 branches nationwide and a strong history in the consumer finance market. With a strong focus on caring for its customers and responsible lending, they are looking for an experienced growth and people leader to take ownership of its established national branch network and help drive the next phase of the business.


Reporting directly to the CEO and forming part of the Executive Leadership Team, you will lead four Regional Managers and a network of branches across New Zealand.


You will have significant autonomy to shape structure, processes and staffing while driving sales performance, operational excellence and continued growth. With Instant Finance expanding its product offering and continuing its digital transformation journey, this is an opportunity to influence how the branch network evolves and builds on the company’s strong results.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the performance and direction of the national branch network
  • Drive sales growth and develop a strong sales and service culture
  • Bring greater structure and consistency to network operations
  • Lead and support Regional Managers to lift capability and performance
  • Develop and implement best-practice processes across the network
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity and deliver outstanding customer outcomes
  • Lead change while building engagement and ownership across the business
  • Maintain strong responsible lending, credit, compliance and risk management disciplines
  • Contribute to strategy and decision-making as part of the Executive Team


The role has a strong focus on sales performance alongside credit and compliance, with responsibility for developing strategies to maximise sales and achieve network targets for new business, revenue growth and ledger quality.


Skills & Experience

We are looking for a commercially minded growth and people leader who combines strong operational capability with the ability to engage, influence and bring people with them.


You will bring:

  • Senior leadership experience across a multi-site or branch network
  • A strong sales focus and track record of driving growth
  • Proven capability leading change and improving business performance
  • An engaging, collaborative and highly visible leadership style
  • Strong commercial, operational and analytical capability
  • Sound financial services and lending knowledge
