The Customer Tribe works across ASB Bank to drive automation for a variety of initiatives through specialist software like Pega. The tribe is a mix of collaborative experts who simply love enabling automation, making life easy for ASBers and our Customers.


As one of our Senior Software Engineer – Test Engineering you'll be part of the team that is responsible for technical development and testing of a range of projects on Pega Platform across our Tribe.

In these roles, you will support:

  • Modernize legacy processes into seamless, intelligent digital journeys
  • Design and deliver scalable enterprise solutions using modern Pega frameworks
  • Harness AI, GenAI, and engineering accelerators to drive faster, smarter outcomes
  • Create exceptional experiences for customers and frontline teams alike
  • Lead transformation across the banking value chain, from onboarding and lending to financial crime, payments, and servicing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.


Ngā mea kia whai angitū ahau? | What do I need to be successful?


Our ideal applicants will demonstrate:


  • SSA certification
  • 3+ years of relevant experience as a SSA and 5+ years experience in Pega
  • Extensive experience in core platform
  • Certifications/badges in Pega
  • Experience in relevant firmware and industry specific
  • Understanding of latest technologies (Constellation, AI (Knowledge buddy, GEN AI Coach, blueprint, Agents etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
