We're looking for experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics and a Leading Hand to join a well-established, highly regarded organisation supporting a range of construction, forestry, and material-handling equipment.


These roles offer the opportunity to work across both a well-equipped workshop and in the field, with plenty of variety and autonomy.

About the roles

As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic , you'll diagnose, service and repair earthmoving machinery, working across hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems. You'll have the independence to manage field-based work while also working alongside a skilled workshop team.


As a Leading Hand Mechanic , you'll take this a step further by helping coordinate workflow, allocate jobs and support technicians to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.


What we're looking for


  • Trade qualification in diesel, heavy plant, or equivalent
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
  • Experience with hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A strong focus on safety, quality and getting the job done right
  • Full driver's licence; F, W, T, and R endorsements are advantageous
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new technology and equipment
  • Flexibility to participate in a call-out roster


For the Leading Hand position, previous experience coordinating technicians, allocating work, and managing job priorities is highly desirable.
