Job Description

The Role:

No previous experience is required, but is preferred. You will quickly become part of the team and have the following responsibilities:

  • Load bags of different seeds into processing machines
  • Checking order slips
  • Bagging products and loading bags onto pallets within a warehouse.


These machines will mix the seed with a protective coating before being dispatched to the farms.

This is a highly physical role . You and the team will be lifting 25kg bags of seed consistently during processing.


Days & Hours:

This role is Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4.30 pm.

Saturdays half days frequently required.

The role is seasonal till approx. April, with a break over December & January but depends on workload requirements.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Experience in labouring or warehousing is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to lift 25kg consistently throughout the day.
  • Your own reliable transport is essential as this position is a 10-minute drive north of Palmerston North.
  • Pre-employment Drug Test & MOJ will be required.

Our client is New Zealand's largest seed company. Their objective is to enhance the profitability of farmers and growers by providing them with grass and forage seeds that provide high-quality feed for raising animals. They run a busy operation outside Palmerston North and are seeking new staff to join their team.
