We are looking for a friendly and reliable Retail Assistant to join our team at St Cuthbert’s College in Auckland .


This is a permanent position with 37.5 guaranteed hours per week during education terms . You will help deliver a quality café experience by providing welcoming customer service, preparing and presenting food, serving espresso coffee, processing sales and maintaining a clean and inviting environment.

This is a great opportunity to develop your retail and hospitality skills as part of a supportive team in a busy education environment.


Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:


  • Provide warm, friendly and professional service to customers.
  • Operate the point-of-sale system and process transactions accurately.
  • Prepare, heat, display and present food in line with food safety standards.
  • Prepare and serve espresso coffee while maintaining coffee equipment.
  • Keep front-of-house and back-of-house areas clean, tidy and well organised.


He kōrero mōu / About you:


  • Previous experience providing excellent customer service.
  • Experience with cash handling, reconciliation or point-of-sale systems.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • A flexible, reliable and hardworking approach to your responsibilities.
  • The physical fitness and confidence to work in a busy service environment.
  • Previous barista experience or an NZQA Food Handling Certificate would be advantageous.
