Job Description

  • The Company My client is a privately owned multinational that entered the NZ market at pace, setting up their own operation but also acquiring a number of local players to launch their growth strategy back in 2024. They continue to acquire in the local market and have seen significant growth. This company operates in the professional services space. As a direct result of the growth, they are continuing to expand the Finance team capability and hence this role. The Role In the role of Senior Financial Accountant, you will report directly to the Financial controller and be a member of a strong financial accounting team. Your key responsibilities will include: Own a portfolio of entities to deliver their month end P&L and B/S, including variance analysis thereon.
  • Prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts (quarterly)
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and KPI information for the business
  • Prepare and maintain cashflow projections and forecasts
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and resolve any queries
  • Prepare Statutory financial statements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including assisting with the Audit.
  • File tax compliance as required
  • Manage banking and treasury related matters
  • Support integration projects as a result of future acquisitions, migrating systems and processes as required.
  • Other ad hoc process improvement project work as required.
  • Your Profile To be considered for this role, we are looking for a career driven Financial Accountant who is looking for their next step and can take ownership of their area. You will have the following attributes: Experience in end-to-end financial statement preparation
  • CA or CPA qualified
  • Superior communication skills to liaise with stakeholders of all levels
  • Problem solving and proactive mindset
  • Highly committed and career driven
  • Ability to meet deadlines
