About the role


We are seeking a Stylist Part Time to join our team at our Riccarton store in Christchurch. This is a part-time position that offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic retail environment whilst helping customers discover their personal style. As a Stylist, you will be at the heart of the customer experience, providing personalised fashion advice, styling recommendations and building lasting relationships with our clientele. This role is essential to our mission of helping customers look and feel their best.


Key responsibilities


  • Provide personalised styling advice and fashion recommendations to customers based on their individual needs, preferences and body type
  • Assist customers in selecting clothing and accessories that enhance their appearance and boost their confidence
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of current fashion trends, seasonal collections and product ranges across the store
  • Create attractive and engaging window displays and in-store visual merchandising that highlights key products and encourages customer engagement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regular customers, understanding their style preferences and notifying them of new arrivals
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems
  • Maintain the store in excellent condition, including organising stock, replenishing displays and ensuring visual standards are met
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues and working collaboratively to achieve store targets
  • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and company policies to provide accurate information to customers


What we're looking for


  • A genuine passion for fashion with an eye for style, trends and aesthetics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers
  • Strong customer service orientation with a proven ability to build rapport and create positive shopping experiences
  • Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high standards of professionalism
  • Ability to work as part of a team whilst also showing initiative and independence
  • Flexibility to work part-time hours, including weekends and retail peak periods as required
  • Basic numeracy skills and comfort using point-of-sale technology
  • Previous retail or customer service experience is desirable but not essential—we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
