Job Description

Active Explorers Greenmeadows are looking for a qualified and registered Early Childhood Kaiako to join our thriving 2-3 year olds and become part of our welcoming centre whānau.

Our Kauri Room are active explorers, eager to discover the world around them through play, movement, creativity, and meaningful relationships. We provide a nurturing and engaging environment where children are encouraged to build independence, develop social skills, and follow their natural curiosity in a safe and supportive setting.

With Anderson Park just across the road, our tamariki enjoy regular opportunities to connect with nature, explore their local community, and extend their learning beyond the centre gates.

Why You'll Love Being Here

  • A vibrant and engaging learning environment for our 2-3 year olds
  • Strong, supportive leadership across the centre
  • Paid professional development and First Aid certification
  • Discounted childcare for your own tamariki
  • More than Full Pay Parity
  • Opportunities to be part of a collaborative and passionate teaching team

We're seeking an enthusiastic and caring Kaiako who understands the unique needs of toddlers and enjoys supporting this exciting stage of development. You'll work alongside an experienced team to create meaningful learning experiences that foster confidence, exploration, communication, and belonging.

Whānau partnerships are central to our philosophy. We value strong relationships with families and welcome Kaiako who are committed to culturally responsive practice and honouring the aspirations of tamariki and their whānau. Knowledge of, or an interest in learning about, the local pūrākau of Ngāti Kahungunu is highly valued.

Our offer to you:

  • A warm, supportive team to learn and grow alongside
  • Ongoing mentoring from centre leadership and our wider cluster
  • Competitive salary and a balanced lifestyle
  • Opportunities to connect with the wider Evolve Education network
  • Generous non-contact time for quality planning and documentation
  • Career development pathways within a growing organisation

What we’re looking for in you:

  • A recognised ECE qualification and Provisional or Full NZ Teaching Council registration
  • A passion for supporting toddlers through this important stage of growth and development
  • The ability to create engaging, responsive, and meaningful learning experiences
  • Strong relationship-building skills with tamariki, whānau, and colleagues
  • A commitment to creating a culturally inclusive and nurturing learning environment
  • A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a collaborative team culture

If you're looking for a centre where you can make a meaningful impact while being supported to grow professionally, we'd love to hear from you.
