We’re looking for a Development Contributions Office to join our team in a permanent full-time opportunity within our Planning & Development directorate. What you’ll be doing / He aha te mahi


You’ll be responsible for administering the Council’s Development Contribution Policy including identifying, processing, coordinating, monitoring and reviewing contributions.


The role will involve:


  • Assess and administer development contributions in line with Council policy and legislation.
  • Partner with developers, customers and Council teams to provide clear advice and practical solutions.
  • Prepare contribution estimates, recommendations and reporting to support informed decision-making.
  • Coordinate invoicing and payment processes while delivering excellent customer service.
  • Help shape continuous improvement by managing complex enquiries, mitigating risk and contributing to policy reviews.


What you’ll bring to the role / Ko wai to Pukeka


You’ll have worked in the engineering or development space and will have sound knowledge of the Resource Management Act, Local Government Act and related legislation.


To best succeed in this role, you’ll have:


  • A relevant tertiary qualification and proven experience (3+ years) in a related field.
  • Knowledge of local government legislation, planning processes and/or the land development sector.
  • Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and deliver results in a customer-focused environment.
