About the role


Our market-leading private client team is looking for an intermediate lawyer to join our Auckland office.


The team advises high-net-worth individuals, families and family offices on complex and often sensitive matters. The work is varied and intellectually rewarding, with a strong focus on building trusted, long-term client relationships and delivering practical, commercially astute advice.


You will advise on a broad range of private client matters, including tax, immigration, trusts, estate and succession planning, family law, asset structuring, and overseas investment aspects. This role offers genuine career progression, exposure to sophisticated, high-quality work, and the support of a collaborative, high-performing team.


Experience and qualifications


The ideal candidate will have:


  • 3+ years’ post-qualification experience
  • Experience in advising on tax, immigration, trusts, estate and succession planning, family law, asset structuring, and/or the overseas investment rules is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided
  • Strong technical skills, sound judgement and excellent attention to detail
  • A commercially astute approach and a proven ability to build trusted client relationships
  • The ability to manage complex matters independently and respond thoughtfully to sensitive client issues
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • An ambitious, collaborative mindset and the drive to succeed in a high-performing environment
