Blairs Supertyre Distributors is a locally owned and operated family business with 70 years of history. We are the New Zealand importers and distributors of Kumho and Goodride tyres, along with other leading tyre brands and related products.


With branches in Auckland, Christchurch and Geraldine, and sales representatives throughout New Zealand, we're a well-established business with a strong reputation and a team of long-standing employees.


We have a permanent opportunity for a Yard / Warehouse Worker to join our Geraldine branch.


About the role


This is a genuinely hands-on role, split between the warehouse and outdoor yard. You'll be part of a small team helping to keep stock moving safely and efficiently.


Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:


  • Unloading containers of tyres.
  • Palletising and storing tyres.
  • Picking and dispatching orders.
  • Loading trucks.
  • Keeping the warehouse and yard clean, tidy and organised.
  • Using a forklift where required.
  • Using computer systems for freight and stock management.
  • General warehouse and yard duties as required.


This is a physically demanding role involving heavy lifting, so you'll need to be physically fit and comfortable with repetitive manual handling.


About you


We're looking for someone who is reliable, honest and self-motivated, with a practical approach and a strong work ethic.


You'll ideally be:


  • Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting and hands-on work.
  • Naturally tidy and organised.
  • Good with numbers and able to accurately handle stock.
  • Logical and able to think through problems.
  • Forward-thinking, with the initiative to see what needs doing.
  • Reliable and honest.
  • Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
  • Confident learning and using basic computer systems.
  • Experienced with a forklift - forklift experience or certification is preferred.


Previous tyre or warehouse experience is useful, but we're more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, reliability and work ethic.
