Job Description

This spring, Queen Street will welcome a new 80-seat restaurant, and with it, a touch of glamour.


Lottie's is opening on the first floor of Faradays, the new luxury department store at 131 Queen Street. It's the latest venture from Emett Group, the team behind much-loved Auckland restaurants Onslow and Gilt Brasserie, both located just around the corner.


Inspired by the great London department store dining rooms of the past, Lottie's is a contemporary take on a much-loved tradition. Expect an all day menu of timeless classics, pastries, afternoon tea, alongside classic cocktails and plenty of champagne.

We're looking for bar and beverage staff to join our founding team and help bring this exciting new restaurant to life.

The Details


  • Lottie's will operate seven days a week, including public holidays
  • Shifts will be scheduled to support trading hours of 10.00am to 6.30pm
  • There will be occasional evening trading and extended hours during the busy Christmas period
  • Additional event shifts will provide further opportunities to increase your earnings

Positions


Lottie's Bar Manager (x2)


Responsibilities include


  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages to meet set standards
  • Manage all bar staff, impart knowledge, skills and training to ensure high standards
  • Manage rosters/staff records in conjunction with the Restaurant Manager
  • Interview and recruit staff, in conjunction with the Restaurant Manager
  • Ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained
  • Prepare beverage lists


Qualifications


  • Minimum 3 years bar experience in an equivalent venue or cocktail bar, of which at least 2 years at management level
  • Extensive alcohol and beverage knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of local and international beverage trends.

  • Permanent
  • Full time (minimum 30 hours per week) or part time (15-20 hours per week)
  • Rostered shifts that can include weekends, some evenings and public holidays

Lottie's Bartender (x3)


Responsibilities include


  • Develop cocktail, beer and spirit offerings in conjunction with the Bar Manager
  • Receive, process and deliver drink orders
  • Prepare garnishes to meet set restaurant standards
  • Ensure the bar area is kept clean and tidy
  • Maintain and keep clean bar equipment, glassware and utensils


Qualifications


  • Minimum 2 years experience in an equivalent venue
  • Have knowledge of local and international beverage trends.
  • Enjoy the creativity of developing offerings with a twist


The Role


  • Permanent
  • Full time (minimum 30 hours per week) or part time (15-20 hours per week)
  • Rostered shifts that can include weekends, some evenings and public holidays

Lottie's Barista (x2)


Responsibilities include


  • Prepare and serve consistently high-quality coffee, tea and beverage offerings to our guests
  • Set up, operate and maintain the coffee station to the highest standards throughout service
  • Maintain excellent product knowledge and confidently answer guest questions about coffee and beverage offerings
  • Manage coffee orders efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality and attention to detail
  • Ensure coffee equipment is cleaned, maintained and used correctly


Qualifications


  • Minimum 2 years experience in an equivalent venue
  • A genuine passion for coffee and delivering exceptional hospitality
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency
  • Confidence engaging with guests and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
