The Opportunity


Our client is an established, Kiwi-owned and operated ISP that's continuing to grow. They're looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join their Auckland team. This is a genuinely varied role, with a 50/50 split between project delivery and technical support, working across complex customer networks, including critical infrastructure environments.


What you'll be doing


  • Designing and delivering complex network and security solutions from scratch.
  • Deploying, configuring and managing Fortinet environments.
  • Working across routing, switching, WiFi, VPNs and network security.
  • Producing network designs, technical documentation and BOMs.
  • Providing L2/L3 support and troubleshooting complex network issues.
  • Supporting customers across multiple sites and environments.


What we're looking for


  • Around 5+ years' network engineering experience.
  • Strong hands-on Fortinet and FortiManager expertise, including end-to-end deployments.
  • Solid routing and switching knowledge, including dynamic routing protocols.
  • Proven ability to independently design and implement network solutions.
  • Experience in an MSP, systems integrator or similar customer-facing environment would be beneficial.
  • Exposure to Operational Technology (OT) or critical infrastructure environments would be a real advantage.


You'll have the opportunity to own technical designs, deliver projects end-to-end and work across a variety of challenging network and cybersecurity environments.
