He angitūtanga | The opportunity


As a Catering Supervisor , you will lead the delivery of exceptional food and beverage service within the Air New Zealand Lounge at Palmerston North Airport . You’ll drive a high‑performing team, ensuring every customer enjoys a premium experience that “surprises and delights,” while maintaining operational, safety, and commercial standards. This is a permanent position with 35 hours guaranteed per week.

  • Lead, supervise, and develop the lounge team to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
  • Ensure premium food and beverage service standards are consistently achieved.
  • Manage staff rostering, training, performance, and team engagement.
  • Oversee daily operations including stock control, cost management, and service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, and operational policies.

  • Proven experience in hospitality leadership or supervisory roles.
  • Strong people leadership skills with experience coaching and developing teams.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a passion for delivering premium experiences.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to manage costs and operational performance.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety, food safety, and compliance requirements.
