Are you mechanically minded and looking for an opportunityto develop your skills in a manufacturing environment?




We are seeking a Machine Operator & Setter to join abusy finishing division, operating and setting machinery such as slittingequipment.

This is a hands-on role offering specific training for the right person.

The role initially involves machine operation for training purposes before progressing to a position focused on machine setting (80%) and machine operation (20%).


Previous machine setting experience is highly desirable. However, applicants with strong mechanical aptitude and manufacturingexperience are encouraged to apply.


What's involved?


Operating different finishing machinery, including slittingequipment


Setting up and adjusting machines for production runs


Monitoring machine performance and product quality


Troubleshooting minor machine issues and making adjustmentsas required


Completing machine changeovers and production documentation


Carrying out routine checks and basic maintenance


Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment


Working to production schedules and quality standards


What we're looking for


Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturingenvironment (packaging / plastics beneficial)


Machine setting experience highly desirable


Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability


Good attention to detail and quality focus


Reliable (including own transportation) and able to workindependently


Physically fit (lifting ~ 20kg)


Strong communication skills


Forklift licence advantageous butnot essential


Able to pass a drug test andcriminal record check


Right to work in New Zealand
