We're seeking reliable and safety-conscious Bandsaw Operators to join a busy meat processing facility in Wiri, Auckland .

About the Role


As a Bandsaw Operator, you will safely and accurately portion bone-in meat products while maintaining high standards of quality, food safety, and workplace safety.


Key duties include:


  • Operating industrial bandsaw equipment
  • Processing meat products to specifications
  • Assisting with knife-hand and debagging duties as required
  • Meeting production and quality targets
  • Following food safety and health & safety procedures
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work area


Available Shifts


Day Shift

  • Monday to Friday | 5:00am - 1:30pm

Afternoon/Night Shift 1

  • Sunday to Tuesday | 1:30pm - 1:30am
  • Wednesday | 1:30pm - 7:30pm

Afternoon/Night Shift 2

  • Wednesday | 7:30pm - 1:30am
  • Thursday to Saturday | 1:30pm - 1:30am

What We're Looking For


  • Previous experience in meat processing, food manufacturing, or production preferred
  • Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
  • Reliable with excellent attendance
  • Physically fit and capable of repetitive tasks
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Comfortable working in a chilled environment and handling raw meat


Requirements


  • Legally entitled to work in New Zealand and currently residing in NZ
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • Able to pass a Ministry of Justice criminal history check


Please note: This is a physically demanding role in a chilled environment (approximately 5°C) involving raw meat handling, prolonged standing, repetitive movements, and working with cutting equipment.
