About the Role

The Recruitment and PeopleCoordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing recruitment acrossBargain Chemist stores and HQ, ensuring vacancies are filled efficiently,professionally and in line with company processes.

This role provides practicalrecruitment support and guidance to hiring managers, manages the recruitmentprocess from advertising through to appointment and pre-employment checks, andmaintains strong talent pipelines for current and future vacancies.

The role also coordinates keyrecruitment-related programmes, including immigration and migrant-workerprocesses and the intern recruitment programme, working closely with internalstakeholders, universities, training providers and external advisers.

This is a hands-on role thatrequires strong organisation, communication and relationship-building skills,with the ability to manage multiple vacancies and priorities at the same time.


What You'll Bring to Life in this Role

Recruitment

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for store and Support Officevacancies, from vacancy approval through to appointment.
  • Prepare and post job advertisements across appropriaterecruitment channels.
  • Review applications, shortlist candidates and coordinateinterviews.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to understand recruitmentrequirements and provide practical recruitment guidance.
  • Coordinate candidate communication throughout therecruitment process and ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Coordinate reference checks, right-to-work checks and otherpre-employment requirements.
  • Prepare and coordinate employment offers and relevantrecruitment documentation.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment records and ensure recruitmentprocesses are completed in line with company requirements.
  • Monitor vacancies and proactively follow up with hiringmanagers to keep recruitment moving.
  • Develop and maintain talent pipelines for recurring andhard-to-fill roles.
  • Support internal recruitment and promotion processes whereappropriate.


Immigration & Migrant Recruitment

  • Coordinate employer accreditation, Job Checks andmigrant-worker recruitment processes.
  • Work with hiring managers and candidates to ensure requiredimmigration documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate with immigration advisers and other externalproviders as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of visa and immigrationrequirements and key dates.
  • Support the business to meet its obligations in relation tomigrant-worker recruitment and employment.
  • Provide practical guidance to managers and candidates onrecruitment-related immigration processes, within the scope of the role.


Intern Programme Recruitment

  • Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities for thepharmacy intern programme.
  • Manage candidate communication, applications, interviews andrecruitment administration.
  • Coordinate with universities, training providers andrelevant pharmacy organisations.
  • Work closely with the HR Manager and National InternCoordinator to support intern workforce planning and recruitment.
  • Maintain accurate records and recruitment pipelines forcurrent and future intern cohorts.


Recruitment Reporting & Workforce Planning Support

  • Maintain accurate vacancy and recruitment tracking.
  • Prepare regular recruitment reports and updates for the HRManager and relevant managers.
  • Monitor recruitment activity, vacancy status, candidatepipelines and time-to-fill.
  • Identify recruitment trends, recurring vacancies andpotential talent pipeline opportunities.
  • Maintain recruitment data and ensure information inrecruitment systems is accurate and up to date.


Stakeholder & External Relationships

  • Build effective working relationships with Store Managers,Regional Managers, Cluster Managers, Support Office leaders and the widerPeople & Culture team.
  • Provide responsive and professional recruitment support tohiring managers.
  • Coordinate relationships with universities, trainingproviders and other recruitment partners.
  • Represent Bargain Chemist professionally when engaging withcandidates and external organisations.
  • Support recruitment initiatives, career events and othertalent attraction activities as required.


Systems & Administration

  • Maintain accurate candidate and recruitment information inthe recruitment system.
  • Ensure recruitment documentation is completed and storedappropriately.
  • Maintain recruitment templates, processes and resources.
  • Support continuous improvement of recruitment processes andsystems.
  • Ensure recruitment activity complies with company policies,processes and relevant employment and immigration requirements.


What We're Looking For

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, HRcoordination or a similar people-focused role.
  • Experience managing recruitment processes from advertisingthrough to appointment.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with theability to manage multiple vacancies and competing priorities.
  • Experience with immigration or migrant-worker recruitmentprocesses would be advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and confidence workingwith managers at different levels.
  • Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy whenmanaging recruitment and employment documentation.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership and followtasks through to completion.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitivecandidate and employee information appropriately.
  • Experience with recruitment or HR systems and MicrosoftOffice.
  • Experience within pharmacy, retail, healthcare or amulti-site environment would be advantageous.

  • Recruitment processes continue to improve as the businessgrows.
