Civil Carpenter


Tradestaff is looking for an experienced Civil Carpenter to join ongoing civil construction projects in West Auckland. This role is ideal for a skilled carpenter with strong formwork and concrete experience who takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work on major civil projects.


Location: West Auckland, Auckland

Start date: Immediate start

Pay rate: Up to $35 per hour depending on experience


What You’ll Be Doing


  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, plans and specifications
  • Constructing formwork, boxing, beams, walls, stairs and other structural elements
  • Working on bridges and other civil infrastructure projects
  • Completing concrete work, including preparing for and assisting with concrete pours
  • Using power and hand tools to accurately cut, shape and assemble materials
  • Producing high-quality finishes while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Working alongside engineers, supervisors and the wider site team to meet project requirements


What We’re Looking For


  • 3+ years of carpentry experience, ideally specialising in formwork and concrete structures
  • Proven experience across bridges, roads or other large-scale civil projects
  • Strong knowledge of formwork, boxing and concrete construction
  • Confidence constructing structural elements including beams, walls and stairs
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to safe working practices and quality workmanship
  • Physically fit and comfortable completing manual work in varying weather conditions
