Our client is a large, Auckland‑based public sector provider delivering essential infrastructure services to a large customer base. It is known for its long‑term asset stewardship, sustainability focus, and complex delivery environment. About the Role


This 6‑month contract Senior Business Analyst role sits within a large digital delivery function and focuses on leading complex analysis initiatives of strategic importance. You will work closely with senior leaders, SMEs, architects, and delivery teams to translate business drivers into clear, actionable requirements. The role also involves providing leadership within the Business Analysis function and ensuring high‑quality documentation using Jira, Confluence, and process modelling tools.


Day to Day Responsibilities


  • Lead end‑to‑end analysis for priority digital initiatives with tight timeframes
  • Facilitate workshops to elicit, prioritise, and validate business requirements
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, and process models
  • Engage senior stakeholders to align solutions with agreed outcomes
  • Provide coaching and guidance to Business Analysts as required


About Your Experience


  • You are a senior‑level contractor who can add value quickly in complex environments.
  • 10+ years’ Business Analysis experience, including senior or lead roles
  • Strong expertise in requirements management, process modelling, and visual analysis
  • Proven experience working in Agile, cross‑functional delivery teams
  • Excellent stakeholder facilitation and executive‑level communication skills
