Job Description

BestStart Montessori Mosgiel is seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified & Certificated Teacher to join our warm and supportive team in our Little Ferns infant room.

About the Role


This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week) working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm , in our Little Ferns room for children aged 0 to 2 years. You'll play an important role in building secure relationships and supporting our youngest learners through caring, respectful, and meaningful interactions.

What We're Looking For


  • A BEd or Diploma in Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary)
  • Current New Zealand Teacher Certification
  • A strong understanding of child-led learning, curriculum planning, and extending children's interests
  • Sound knowledge of current ECE regulations and Te Whāriki
  • A commitment to maintaining high compliance and professional standards
  • A genuine commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi within your teaching practice
  • Passion, enthusiasm, and dedication to high-quality teaching and learning
