Senior Structural Engineer / CPEng - Sunshine Coast, Queensland

$140,000-$160,000 AUD + 12% superannuation


An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Chartered Structural Engineer to join our client on the Sunshine Coast.


This role would suit a capable senior engineer who is either already CPEng/RPEQ or is in a strong position to become RPEQ.


Our client is seeking someone with the technical depth and leadership ability to manage the structural design of projects, mentor others, and play a key role in supporting continued team growth.


Our client is a well-regarded engineering consultancy with expertise across structural, civil, and geotechnical engineering. They are known for delivering practical, high-quality design solutions while building strong, collaborative relationships with clients and project partners.


The business works across commercial, infrastructure, and complex built-environment projects, with a focus on value engineering, constructability, temporary works, 3D modelling, BIM, and hands-on construction support through to certification.


The Role


  • Lead and manage the structural design of a range of commercial and infrastructure projects.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to engineers within the team.
  • Work closely with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to deliver practical and buildable solutions.
  • Contribute to project delivery from concept and detailed design through to construction support and certification.


About You


  • Chartered Structural Engineer, or an experienced engineer on the pathway to RPEQ.
  • Strong structural design background across building, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Confident managing projects, communicating with clients, and supporting junior team members.
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach and an interest in delivering high-quality engineering outcomes.
