Job Description

Are you a passionate Qualified and Certificated Teacher looking for a supportive, well-established team where you can make a real difference?

Welcome to BestStart Montessori Kilbirnie , the only Montessori centre in Wellington catering for children under two. Our little Montessori house is a warm, nurturing place where children are supported to build confidence, independence and a lifelong love of learning.

With a strong, established teaching team, we’re proud of the community we’ve created for our tamariki and whānau.

Our Montessori philosophy is woven throughout everything we do. Children are encouraged to explore at their own pace, take responsibility and learn through meaningful experiences. With small class sizes and excellent teacher-to-child ratios, our teachers have the opportunity to build genuine relationships and really get to know each child.

We also love getting out into our local community, with regular excursions to places such as the Kilbirnie Library, local parks and Mt Victoria Southern Pathway. Sustainability is another important part of centre life, helping our tamariki develop an appreciation and respect for the world around them.

Our multicultural centre is also a member school of Montessori Aotearoa New Zealand (MANZ).
