What You’ll Be Doing

  • Answering inbound calls from members of the public
  • Providing accurate information and resolving customer enquiries
  • Recording customer interactions and updating internal systems
  • Managing conversations with professionalism, empathy, and patience
  • Navigating multiple systems while speaking with customers
  • Escalating complex matters to the appropriate teams
  • Delivering excellent customer outcomes in a fast-paced environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous customer service experience in a contact centre, hospitality, retail, reception, tourism, administration, or similar role
  • A calm, empathetic, and solutions-focused approach
  • Confidence using technology and learning new systems quickly
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Flexibility to work across a seven-day roster
  • A positive attitude and commitment to teamwork and customer service excellence


You must already possess working rights in New Zealand to be considered for this position.

The Details

  • Start Date: 24 November 2026
  • Training: Two weeks of paid training, Tuesday to Thursday, totalling 20 hours per week. Full attendance is required.
  • Post-Training Hours: A minimum of 25 hours per week is guaranteed. This role is best suited to candidates with flexible availability, as additional hours up to 40 hours per week required across a 7-day roster in line with business needs.
  • Assignment Length: Minimum 12-month temporary assignment with strong potential for extension or permanent opportunities
  • Roster: Monday to Sunday, with shifts operating between 6:00am and 1:00am
  • Availability: Must be available to work at least five days across a seven-day roster, including weekends
  • Location: Palmerston North Central. This is a fully office-based role with no work-from-home option available
  • Pay Rate: $29.90 per hour plus 8% holiday pay ($31.90 for hours worked after 10pm)
