The Role


You will work as a Surveyor on engineering projects, with primary focus on the Pinjarra to Waroona area:

  • Perform field surveys based on project plans, ensuring accurate and efficient data collection
  • Use advanced surveying equipment including total stations and GPS to capture precise data points
  • Conduct surveys following best practice standards for engineering applications (infrastructure, construction, land development)
  • Collect, organise and validate survey data ensuring it meets project specifications and quality standards
  • Perform initial data processing and prepare survey data for analysis by senior team members
  • Maintain detailed field notes, logs and records to ensure data integrity
  • Set up, operate and maintain surveying equipment with proper calibration and pre-survey checks
  • Follow all Work Health and Safety protocols and complete required safety documentation
  • Communicate effectively with clients and coordinate with team members to meet project milestones
  • Provide regular feedback on fieldwork progress and technical challenges to the Senior Surveyor

About You

  • Diploma in Engineering and Mine Surveying or equivalent qualification
  • 2–10 years demonstrated surveying experience in earthworks and civil works
  • Proficiency with advanced surveying equipment (total stations, GPS systems)
  • Well developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiastic, motivated and able to self-manage your time
  • Current, valid unrestricted Australian driver's license
  • Australian residency and right to work in Australia
  • Fit for work – able to pass medical, drug and alcohol testing
  • Ideally located south of Rockingham, Baldivis, or Serpentine (within 45–60 minutes of Pinjarra/Waroona)
