Job Description

Tradestaff is looking for an experienced Carpenter to join a solar installation project across the Hamilton/Raglan area. This is a great opportunity to put your building skills to work in the growing solar industry, completing the structural pre-installation work required before electrical wiring takes place.


Location: Hamilton/Raglan

Start date: Immediate

Pay rate: $32–$35 per hour – weekly pay


  • What you'll be doingCompleting pre-installation carpentry and building work for Clenergy solar systems
  • Preparing structural roof attachments prior to electrical wiring
  • Working on roof-mounted solar installation projects
  • Assisting with ground-mounted system preparation where required
  • Ensuring structural work is completed accurately and safely
  • Working alongside solar installation specialists and other trades on site
  • What we're looking forNZ-qualified Carpenter or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong general building and carpentry skills
  • Confidence completing structural roof attachment work
  • Ability to work safely and effectively outdoors
  • Reliable, practical and able to work well alongside other trades
