Ebbett Prestige is looking for an experienced Service Advisor to join our busy Jaguar Land Rover team in Mount Maunganui.


We are looking for a confident, customer-focused Service Advisor who can build strong relationships with customers while effectively managing workshop bookings, repair orders and customer expectations.


About the role


As a Service Advisor, you will be the key link between our customers and workshop team, ensuring every customer receives a professional and transparent service experience.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Welcoming customers and providing a professional and friendly first point of contact
  • Booking vehicles into the workshop and accurately recording customer requirements
  • Preparing detailed repair orders and communicating customer concerns clearly to technicians
  • Providing accurate estimates and obtaining customer authorisation for additional work
  • Keeping customers informed throughout the repair process
  • Using our Electronic Vehicle Health Check System
  • Liaising closely with technicians, parts and management to ensure work is completed efficiently
  • Managing customer expectations around vehicle diagnosis, repairs and completion times
  • Conducting vehicle handovers and explaining work completed to customers
  • Communicating additional maintenance and repair opportunities where appropriate
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all repair orders are completed correctly
  • Working towards customer satisfaction, productivity and financial performance targets
  • Managing warranty and service-related enquiries where required
  • Managing work in progress
  • Completing online training
  • Promoting manufacturer servicing, maintenance and aftersales products
  • Maintaining a high level of customer service throughout the entire ownership experience


About you


The successful applicant will have:


  • Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor
  • Automotive industry knowledge
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • The ability to manage multiple customers and priorities in a busy environment
  • A strong attention to detail
  • The ability to work effectively with technicians, parts staff and management
  • A professional and positive approach to customer service
  • Strong computer and administration skills
  • A commercial mindset and the ability to identify opportunities to improve customer retention and workshop performance


Desirable:


  • Experience working with Jaguar Land Rover
  • Experience working in a franchised automotive dealership
  • Experience representing a premium automotive brand
  • Experience using Autoline dealership management system
  • Knowledge of warranty and manufacturer processes
  • A current NZ driver's licence
