Job Description

About Bell Gully

Bell Gully is a leading New Zealand law firm. We work together to achieve exceptional outcomes for, and long-term relationships with, our clients, people and communities. We are committed to excellence and developing our people to achieve their best and are looking for like minded aspirational people.

About the role:

We are looking for a curious and organised IT Support Analyst to join our Helpdesk Support team in our Auckland office. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with users across the firm in an active, people-facing role that extends beyond the traditional desk based support environment. You will take ownership, show initiative and genuinely enjoy helping others. You will bring strong attention to detail, work accurately and consistently follow through on commitments. You will communicate clearly and professionally, keep users informed and build strong relationships across the firm through your reliability and approachable manner.

Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, in this role you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the responsive and professional first and second level technology support in person and remotely to partners, lawyers and business support staff
  • Manage incidents, service requests and enquiries through their full lifecycle in the IT service management system (ITSM)
  • Diagnose and resolve issues affecting Microsoft 365 applications and services, Windows 11, iManage, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, printing, connectivity and other supported technology
  • Set up and support meeting room, Microsoft Teams, audiovisual and presentation technology
  • Create and improve clear knowledge articles, user guidance and technical documentation
  • A keen interest in AI tools and applications. Experience with Copilot would be beneficial.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • 2 or more years demonstrated experience in an IT service desk or desktop support role, or equivalent technical capability supported by strong client service experience
  • Practical first and second level support experience across Microsoft 365 applications and services, Window 11, end user hardware and peripherals
  • Analytical troubleshooting skills, good organisation and the ability to recognise priority issues and escalate appropriately
  • Experience with identity, access and account administration, including starter, mover, leaver and password reset processes
  • Ability to diagnose secure remote access, VPN, multifactor authentication and basic network connectivity issues
  • Working knowledge of IT service management practices, ticket lifecycle management and high quality support documentation
  • Strong information security awareness and sound judgement when handling confidential information, devices and access
  • Ability to create clear user guidance, knowledge articles and technical documentation
  • A strong commitment to a high quality user experience
  • Calm, professional and discreet when supporting confidential or time critical legal and client work.

This is an on-site role that includes being part of our IT support on call roster.

Culture and benefits:

In addition to a strong team culture, we offer a range of benefits and initiatives to help our people maintain a healthy and enjoyable lifestyle. These include:

  • professional development opportunities; including through a personalised leadership programme;
  • a comprehensive health and wellbeing programme
  • an annual subsidy for personal health insurance and wellbeing activities
