He angitūtanga / The opportunity:


We are looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused Bar Assistants to join our team at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin .


This is a casual position , with shifts offered as and when required based on business needs. Weekly hours are not guaranteed.


You will help deliver an enjoyable bar experience by preparing and serving beverages, processing transactions, maintaining stock levels and keeping the bar clean and organised. You will also promote the responsible service of alcohol while providing warm and professional service to customers.


Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:


  • Prepare the bar for service and serve beverages efficiently and responsibly.
  • Provide friendly, professional and responsive customer service.
  • Operate the point-of-sale system and process transactions accurately.
  • Replenish, rotate and monitor stock to support smooth bar operations.
  • Keep the bar, equipment, storerooms and surrounding areas clean and safe.


He kōrero mōu / About you:


  • A valid Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate.
  • Previous bar, hospitality or customer service experience.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • The ability to work efficiently and remain professional under pressure.
  • A flexible, reliable and physically fit approach to casual work.
  • A General Manager’s Certificate, NZQA Food Handling Certificate or knowledge of safe manual handling practices would be advantageous.
