Job Description

Like working outdoors, keeping active, and being part of a team that gets stuck in?

We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking Recycling Team Member to join the team at EnviroNZ Taupō.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are exactly the same. You’ll play an important part in recovering recyclable materials, keeping the site running smoothly and helping reduce the amount of waste going to landfill.

If you’ve got a great attitude, aren’t afraid of physical work and enjoy being part of a practical, hardworking team, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Sorting and recovering recyclable materials from incoming waste
  • Helping customers and contractors use the recycling facilities
  • Keeping the site clean, tidy and safe
  • Identifying and reporting hazardous or prohibited materials
  • Supporting the day-to-day operation of the site
  • Following health, safety and environmental procedures
  • Pitching in with general labouring duties when needed

What we’re looking for:

  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Reliable, punctual and ready to get stuck in
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
  • Happy working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
  • A strong approach to workplace safety
  • Previous recycling, waste management or labouring experience is a bonus, but not essential
