Hands-on contract role in a scaling NZ business. C#, AWS & security focus. NZ-based applicants only.

  • 3-6 month contract (high potential of extension)
  • Auckland CBD | 3 days/week in office | ASAP start
  • C# full stack with AWS preferred

A fast-growing New Zealand business is maturing quickly, and doing it deliberately. They need a sharp contract Full-Stack Developer to add to their growing team. If you're strong across AWS, DynamoDB, and C# full stack, this is worth a look.


The Role

You'll be embedded in a capable engineering team, working across BAU support, security, performance, and a couple of meaningful uplift projects. The work is largely infrastructure and code-focused. What matters more is that you're technically sharp, proactive, and comfortable working with some ambiguity.

  • BAU maintenance and day-to-day technical support
  • Security hardening and IAM permissions management on AWS
  • Performance optimisation and code clean-up
  • Replacing the existing monitoring and observability system
  • Internal tools upgrade
  • Some light front-end work (HTMX, Tailwind), a real bonus

What You'll Bring

Must-haves:

  • Must have 5+ years experience
  • Strong C# full-stack experience, both OOP and functional programming welcomed
  • Solid, demonstrable AWS knowledge
  • Hands-on experience with DynamoDB
  • Some SQL experience
  • Confidence across infrastructure, back-end systems, and security

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to HTMX and Tailwind

Soft skills:

  • Collaborative and communicative; you'll be working alongside engineers, PMs, and other stakeholders
  • Proactive and able to use your initiative
  • Comfortable with some ambiguity and capable of seeking out the right people for context
  • Focused on quality output, with a strong sense of integrity given the sensitivity of client data
  • Willing to contribute to process documentation as the business grows into this space
