He angitūtanga | The opportunity


As a Cleaning Assistant , you will help maintain Forsyth Barr Stadium in a clean, safe, and hygienic condition. After completing training and induction, you’ll use a range of cleaning materials and equipment to ensure facilities are presented to a high standard. This role requires a proactive approach to safety and teamwork, particularly in a dynamic events environment. This is a Casual position where the hours of work are "as and when" required basis upon business needs.


Ko o kawenga | Your responsibilities


  • Clean and maintain internal and external stadium areas, including bathrooms, public spaces, glass, floors, and fixtures.
  • Perform tasks such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, waste removal, and basic stain removal.
  • Restore and maintain hard and soft floor surfaces using appropriate methods and equipment.
  • Respond promptly to urgent cleans and spills to ensure safety and presentation standards are met.
  • Operate cleaning equipment safely and follow Compass Group cleaning, safety, and security procedures at all times.

  • Experience in a similar cleaning role or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Physically fit, reliable, and able to perform manual cleaning tasks safely.
  • A positive team player who can also work autonomously when required.
  • Good communication skills with a professional and well‑presented manner.
  • Flexible and safety‑focused, with the ability to work across varying shifts and event schedules.
