Forever Green Ltd has been creating gardens in the Canterbury region since 1987, giving us nearly 40 years in the industry. We are involved in earthmoving, siteworks, hard and soft landscaping.


We are currently looking for an experienced Marketing Coordinator to join our team on a permanent part-time basis.


This is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of marketing tasks and seeing their work make a difference. You'll be responsible for keeping our marketing activity current and helping showcase the work we do across our different platforms.


The role is 5 hours per week, working 2 days per week at 2.5 hours per day. Hours will be between 9.00am and 1.00pm, Monday to Thursday, with the specific days to be agreed. This is an office-based role and the successful applicant must be able to work from our office.


Key responsibilities will include:


  • Managing and creating content for our social media channels
  • Updating and maintaining our website
  • Preparing and arranging newspaper and other advertising
  • Assisting with promotional and marketing material
  • Taking and/or sourcing suitable photos and content for marketing purposes
  • Keeping our online presence current and engaging
  • Identifying opportunities to promote the Forever Green brand
  • Other general marketing duties as required
  • Our successful applicant will have:
  • Previous marketing experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • A creative and proactive approach
  • Confidence working independently and taking initiative
  • Good computer and digital skills
  • Experience with social media and website content management
  • An eye for detail and a good understanding of what makes effective marketing
  • The ability to work from our Christchurch office
  • An interest in gardening, landscaping or horticulture would be highly desirable


A relevant marketing qualification would be an advantage, however practical marketing experience is more important to us than formal qualifications.
