Tradestaff Waikato is looking for New Zealand Qualified Carpenters to work across a variety of commercial and residential construction projects throughout the Waikato.


We’re looking for experienced tradespeople who know their craft, have their own tools and can confidently step onto a site and get to work.

Assignments will vary across different Tradestaff clients and projects. You could be working on a commercial build, residential construction, renovations, fit-outs or other major projects happening across the region.

What you could be doingDepending on the project, your work could include:

  • Commercial and residential construction
  • Framing and structural carpentry
  • Formwork and boxing
  • Installing doors, windows and hardware
  • Cladding and exterior finishing
  • Interior fit-outs and finishing work
  • Renovations and alterations
  • Reading and working from plans and drawings
  • Measuring, cutting and installing building materials
  • Working alongside other qualified tradespeople and site teams
  • Completing work to a high standard and in line with NZ building requirements
  • We’re looking for Carpenters whoHold a recognised New Zealand carpentry qualification
  • Have solid on-site carpentry experience
  • Have their own set of carpentry tools
  • Are confident across a range of carpentry work
  • Can read and work from plans
  • Can work independently when required
  • Take pride in producing quality workmanship
  • Have a strong understanding of Health and Safety
  • Are reliable and turn up ready to work
  • Have reliable transport
  • Ideally hold a Full NZ Driver Licence
  • Are available for full-time hours

Experience across both commercial and residential construction would be an advantage, but we’re interested in hearing from qualified carpenters from a range of backgrounds.

  • What’s on offer$35 to $40 per hour, depending on experience and the assignment
