The Role


Monday to Friday roles available across a range of major civil infrastructure and transport projects throughout Queensland.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the accurate delivery of survey services on civil construction projects
  • Assist with survey set-out, pick-up (as-built) and data collection activities
  • Set up, operate and maintain survey equipment
  • Record measurements and observations from survey instruments
  • Conduct set-out and pick-up surveys using total stations, GNSS and other field equipment
  • Accurately mark out site features and recover field data for as-builts and quality assurance records
  • Assist with preparation of digital plans and models under the guidance of senior survey staff
  • Support drawing, design and data management activities
  • Maintain survey equipment and ensure calibration requirements are met
  • Interpret plans and specifications to ensure accurate survey delivery
  • Coordinate with site teams and support project delivery requirements
  • Essential Skills and Attributes Experience working as a Survey Technician within civil construction, infrastructure, roads or highways
  • Experience with Trimble and/or Leica equipment
  • Sound understanding of surveying principles, processes and field techniques
  • Experience operating total stations, GNSS receivers and digital levels
  • 12D experience is desirable but not essential
  • Tertiary Surveying qualification is desirable but not essential
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Australian or New Zealand Citizenship
