Job Description

Commercial Carpenter

Tradestaff is looking for an experienced, NZ trade-qualified Commercial Carpenter to join a reputable commercial building company in Dunedin. This is a long-term opportunity for a skilled carpenter looking to get stuck into quality commercial construction work.


Location: Dunedin

Start date: Immediate start

Pay rate: $33–$36 per hour, paid weekly


  • What you'll be doingCommercial framing and structural carpentry
  • Formwork and concrete-related carpentry
  • Interior fit-outs and finishing work
  • Installing doors, hardware, fixtures and fittings
  • Reading and working from construction plans and specifications
  • Measuring, cutting and installing building components
  • Coordinating with site managers and other trades
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship and site safety
  • What we're looking forNZ trade-qualified Carpenter
  • Proven commercial construction experience
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
  • Own tools and reliable transport
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems on site
  • Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
  • Reliable, punctual and professional
  • Strong health and safety awareness
