Job Description

  • The Company A well-established New Zealand manufacturing business with product on supermarket shelves and a passionate, hands-on leadership team. The Role A broad and varied Company Accountant position, sitting at the heart of the business and reporting directly to the Directors. You'll own the finance function end-to-end while also supporting operations and the wider team. Full month-end close including journals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations and P&L variance analysis
  • GST, PAYE and wage reconciliations across NZ and AUS
  • Payment batches, bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Payroll oversight and HR administration - onboarding, contracts, exits
  • Manage and support a small accounts team
  • Supplier remittance processing and retailer reconciliations
  • Operational support including supplies ordering and compliance audit prep
  • About You You're an experienced accountant who's comfortable in a small business environment and happy to roll your sleeves up beyond the numbers. You don't need hand-holding - you take ownership, communicate clearly, and bring a positive energy to the team. Solid end-to-end accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing, FMCG or a similar environment
  • CA/CPA qualified or qualified by experience
  • Comfortable with both NZ and AUS accounting and compliance requirements
  • Exposure to payroll and HR administration an advantage
  • Systems savvy; able to pick up new platforms quickly
  • Pragmatic, organised, and happy to be the go-to person across finance and operations
  • Benefits $90,000-$110,000
  • Glen Eden based - West Auckland
  • Reporting directly to Directors with real influence over how the finance function runs
