We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Catering Assistant to join our ESS team at Burnham Military Camp . This is a Permanent Part-Time position with 4 guaranteed hours per week . If you enjoy working with people, serving great food and coffee, and being part of a team that genuinely cares about its people, safety, and wellbeing, we'd love to hear from you.


Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:


  • Assist with preparing and presenting quality food
  • Prepare and serve great coffee to customers
  • Deliver excellent customer service every day
  • Operate point-of-sale systems and handle cash transactions
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas
  • Follow all food safety, health, and safety procedures


He kōrero mōu / About you:


  • Experience in hospitality, food service, catering, or customer service environments
  • Confident preparing coffee and providing outstanding customer service
  • Friendly, positive, and able to build great relationships with customers and teammates
  • Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently when required
  • Good communication skills and a strong team-focused attitude
  • Food Safety Certificate (Unit Standard 167) is advantageous or willingness to obtain one
