Drainage Operators needed for commercial civil projects. Strong pay, career progression, registration pathways and long-term work.

  • $33-$40/hr experienced unregistered | $40-$50/hr registered drainlayers
  • Commercial civil projects with established contractors and varied work
  • Development opportunities and pathways towards registration

We are seeking experienced Drainlayers, Registered Drainlayers, and Drainage Operators to join established civil contractors delivering commercial civil projects across major infrastructure and construction works.

Whether you are already registered or actively working towards registration, there are opportunities to build your experience, develop your technical capability, and progress your career while working alongside experienced teams on high-profile projects.

  • What’s on offer $33–$40/hr for experienced unregistered drainlayers
  • $40–$50/hr for registered drainlayers

Key responsibilities Registered Drainlayers:

  • Leading drainage installations and ensuring work is completed to required standards
  • Signing off completed drainage works and ensuring compliance requirements are met
  • Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
  • Supporting and mentoring less experienced team members
  • Maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship

Drainlayers / Operators:

  • Installing and maintaining drainage systems across commercial civil projects
  • Working from plans and specifications to complete works accurately
  • Supporting site teams and coordinating with wider crews
  • Operating machinery and assisting with site activities where required
  • Building experience and capability towards registration
  • What we’re looking for Proven drain laying experience is essential
  • Registered Drainlayer qualification, or actively working towards registration
  • Ability to read plans and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong understanding of drainage systems, compliance, and site safety requirements
  • Reliable, motivated, and committed to producing quality work
