Job Description

Trade Assist is currently looking for experienced Plasterers to join our team for a temporary position in the greater Wellington Area.


You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside established plastering companies on a range of residential and commercial projects, with a strong focus on quality workmanship, attention to detail and specialist decorative finishes.


About the Role


We’re looking for skilled and reliable plasterers who can work confidently and independently.


The successful applicant will be expected to maintain a high standard of workmanship while working safely and efficiently on site.


Key Responsibilities


  • Preparing and assessing surfaces prior to plastering
  • Mixing and applying plaster systems in multiple coats
  • Applying interior and exterior plaster finishes
  • Applying decorative and specialist plaster finishes
  • Carrying out detailed finishing work to a high standard
  • Sanding, painting and sealing surfaces where required
  • Installing plasterboard, insulation and vapour barriers where required
  • Reading and working from plans and project specifications
  • Maintaining clean and tidy work areas
  • Working independently and managing tasks efficiently
  • Following all Health & Safety requirements


What We’re Looking For


  • Solid professional plastering experience
  • Formal plastering qualification or significant relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of plastering systems and surface preparation
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
  • Good communication skills
  • Current NZ driver's licence and reliable transport
  • Experience with decorative plaster, polished plaster, microcement or specialist finishes is an advantage
  • Clear MOJ and Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug test
