Job Description

Tradestaff have opportunities available for both Heavy Diesel Mechanics and Light Vehicle Mechanics.


Whether you are a heavy diesel mechanic with experience with construction machinary or a light vehicles diesel mechanic - we want to hear from you!

Your day could include:

  • Servicing and maintaining diesel vehicles
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
  • Carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Engine, transmission, brake and suspension work
  • Completing servicing records and job documentation
  • Conducting safety inspections and pre-delivery checks
  • Working on heavy machinery, trucks, buses or campervans depending on the role

What we're looking for:

  • Experience as a diesel mechanic or automotive technician
  • Heavy Diesel qualification or Light Vehicle qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Overseas qualified mechanics are encouraged to apply
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Full driver's licence preferred
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
