Compass Group NZ are looking for a Permanent Full-Time Site Manager to lead our team at our Mt Maunganui MoE site.

Site Manager is responsible for organizing and managing the contract in accordance with Compass Group and client standards for Catering services. You'll ensure the delivery of high-quality services that meet client expectations and manage the development and training of all team members.

Our operation is 5 days a week, you must be available to work a rotating roster, Monday to Friday.

It would be beneficial if you are available to start immediately.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with contractors and schools, ensuring long-term and mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Manage contracts to provide services, ensuring compliance with the contracted scope of work.
  • Establish, maintain, and monitor quality customer service practices, driving the team to deliver end-user satisfaction.
  • Effectively manage the cost of goods and/or food within the workplace, including inventory and stock control.
  • Lead and manage an effective team, providing feedback, training, and development to staff.


He kōrero mōu / About you:

  • In-depth understanding of Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment principles.
  • Must have NZ Full Driver's License class 1
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage a budget.
  • Proven experience in managing successful teams and forming productive relationships with clients.
  • Ability to identify contract retention and new business opportunities.
  • Computer literate with the ability to use IT systems to maintain efficient operations.
