Job Description

  • The Company This privately owned company is a leading player in the distribution industry. With a strong reputation for quality and service, they partner with international brands to bring innovative technology solutions to retailers and commercial clients. Their operations span logistics, warehousing, and channel distribution - offering a great learning environment for someone who works well in fast-moving, product-driven businesses. The Role This role reports to the FM (NZ) and works part of a small, collaborative and tight knit team. It will play a key role in the supporting all elements of the local finance function ($50m business). Some of your key responsibilities are: Support annual budgeting, forecasting and costing processes, working with department heads to gather information and monitor performance.
  • Analyse actuals against budget and forecasts, identify variances and provide insights on key business and financial performance indicators.
  • Assist with management reporting, financial statements, compliance, audit and maintaining strong financial controls.
  • Identify opportunities to improve finance and administration processes, including automation, cost efficiencies and better use of technology.
  • Investigate system issues, identify root causes and implement improvements to processes, functionality and reporting.
  • Support the implementation of new systems and processes, including user training and monitoring the effectiveness of improvements.
  • Your Profile We're looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative team environment. You'll need to be confident working in a dynamic setting and comfortable juggling multiple priorities. We are looking for the following: Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting roles
  • Experience within distribution, supply chain, logistics, or FMCG industries highly desirable
  • An understanding of stock/inventory
  • Proficiency in Tier 1 or 2 ERP systems and strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to hit the ground running and contribute from day one
  • A roll up your sleeves attitude and happy pitching in across the board
