Job Description

Team Leader – Afternoon Shift


Hours: 1:30pm – 7:30pm

Location: South Auckland

Industry: Distribution / Warehousing

Salary: $32 p/h


About the Role:


We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Team Leader to join a busy distribution and packing warehouse on the afternoon shift.


You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the warehouse, coordinating a team of warehouse staff and ensuring orders are picked, packed and prepared accurately and efficiently.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead, support and motivate the afternoon shift team.
  • Allocate daily tasks and monitor workflow to ensure targets are met.
  • Oversee picking, packing, labelling and general warehouse activities.
  • Ensure work is completed accurately, safely and to a high standard.
  • Monitor productivity, attendance and team performance.
  • Provide training, guidance and support to team members.
  • Assist with resolving day-to-day operational issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Follow all company health & safety, quality and operational procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with management and other shifts to ensure a smooth handover.


About You:We are looking for someone who:


  • Has previous experience in a warehouse, distribution or logistics environment.
  • Has experience leading or supervising a team.
  • Is confident giving direction and keeping a team on task.
  • Has strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Is reliable, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Has a strong focus on accuracy, safety and getting the job done.
  • Is willing to be hands-on and support the team when required.
